Wedding photographs are of an event, and however good they are, everybody in them is performing a role for a day. A honeymoon session is the same two people a fortnight later with nothing to organise and nobody watching, and it produces a completely different set of images — which is the argument for booking one rather than deciding you already have enough photographs of yourselves.
Ninety minutes and two locations, chosen for the hour rather than for the postcard. In Granada that usually means the Carrera del Darro at mid-morning when the light comes down into the ravine, and the Albaicín at the end of the day when the Alhambra is lit from across it. In Tenerife it means being above the cloud in the Teide caldera at first light. In Mallorca it means Deià facing north-west into the last hour. Each city page says which and why.
Forty-five retouched photographs, delivered to a private gallery within 48 hours, at full resolution with a licence to print — because these are the ones that end up framed, and a web-sized file is not enough for that.
Frequently asked questions about Honeymoon session
Do we need to bring the dress?
No. This is the session the wedding day never leaves time for, and most couples shoot it in what they packed. Bring the dress only if you want it in the sea, which is a different session.
Sunrise or sunset?
Your choice, and they are not the same. Sunrise gives you an empty beach and a photographer who is not competing with four hundred people; sunset gives you warmer light and a lie-in.
How soon do we get them?
Within 48 hours, which is deliberate: the point is to have them before the trip ends, while you are still in the place they were taken.
