At a destination wedding almost everyone has flown in, which means the welcome dinner on the eve is the first time most of these people have been in a room together — often for years. It is also the only unstructured evening of the weekend. Photographically it is worth more than the second half of the reception, and it is the part that routinely goes uncovered because the quote only mentioned the wedding day.
The other thing a local photographer is for is the part nobody abroad can research. Where the sun is at eight in the evening in that particular valley. Whether the town hall issues a permit for the plaza and how long it takes. Whether the road to the mirador is shuttle-only in August, as the Cap de Formentor is. Whether the group can actually stand where the planner has drawn them, which on a Mallorcan terrace is frequently no.
Coverage of the welcome dinner plus twelve hours on the day, two photographers throughout, and 600 retouched photographs in a private gallery within 30 days. We walk the venue the day before, and that hour is the most useful one in the whole booking.

We are marrying in Spain but neither of us lives here. What do you need from us?
A venue, a date and the timetable once the venue gives you one. The rest — where the sun is at eight, which wall is in shade at six, whether the group can physically stand where the planner drew them — is what a local photographer is for, and we walk it the day before.
Is travel to the venue included?
Within Spain, yes, including the night before — the welcome dinner is covered and the photographers are already there in the morning. A venue on an island reachable only by ferry is the one case we quote separately, and we quote it before you book.
