Under twenty people changes what the day is, not just its size. There is no receiving line, no seating plan and no forty-minute gap while a hundred and twenty guests are moved from one room to another — which means there is also no need for the photography to be organised into blocks. Four hours run as one continuous afternoon, and the photographs are of things happening rather than of things being staged between them.
It also opens locations that a full wedding cannot use. A clifftop on the Costa Brava, a courtyard in the Albaicín, a mirador in the Tramuntana: all of them work for eighteen people and none of them work for a hundred and twenty, because of parking, because of shade, and because of what a coach does to a village street. The location is scouted the day before, which on this scale is genuinely possible.
Two hundred retouched photographs covering the ceremony and the meal after it, delivered to a private gallery within 14 days.

How many people can come?

Do you see the place beforehand?
The location is scouted the day before, at the hour we will be shooting. Coastal light in Spain changes by the week, and a cliff that works in May is in shadow by August.
Why does the gallery take longer than other sessions?
Fourteen days rather than 48 hours, because it is two hundred photographs from four hours rather than thirty from one. The selection is the slow part, and it is the part worth not rushing.
