A flattering portrait is not difficult. Forty portraits that sit next to each other on a team page and look like they belong to the same organisation is difficult, and it is the entire job. Forty portraits taken on forty different days by whoever was available never look like one company, however good each individual picture is — the backgrounds differ, the light differs, and the eye reads that as a company that does not pay attention.
So it is one day on site with a fixed set: the same two lights in the same positions, the same background, the same camera height, from the first person to the last. Eight minutes each, which is enough because the set does not need rebuilding. The chief executive and the person who started last Monday get the same photograph, which is also the point.
Fifteen retouched photographs per person, delivered within 72 hours, cropped square, 16:9 and vertical in the same export so nobody has to re-crop a face badly for a conference programme. Retouching is light by default: a headshot that does not look like the person who turns up to the meeting is a liability rather than an asset.
